Paintings & Sculptures by Mark Dimock + Oil Paintings by Ronda Turk
Sat 3 Feb - Sun 4 March
Join us between 1 - 5pm this Saturday, 3rd February, to view our latest exhibtion and meet the artists. Enjoy a refreshment whilst a cool summer sea breeze and the mellow notes of some jazz provided by Don Franks and friends, wafts through the gallery.
Both artists, Mark and Ronda, now live outside Wellington but this exhibition features artworks inspired from when they lived here during their youth. Mark grew up playing on the beaches and climbing the cliffs in Titahi Bay, and these landscapes continue to influence his paintings and sculptures today, particularly for this exhibition. Rondas oil paintings feature memories of childhood summers centred around Wellington bays, beaches and pools, with holidays spent in the beautiful Queen Charlotte Sound.
