Exhibition season Sat 5th May - Sun 27th May

Meet the artists whilst enjoying a coffee/ wine or punch to the tune of some live jazz presented by accomplished jazz pianist Bill Wollerman and friends.

Sarah Albisser has developed a strong following at our gallery since we opened, for her amazing and creative representations of women. She is an incredibly creative artist and has continued to explore different and inspiring ways to capture expressions, feelings and moods in her abstract portrayals of female characters.Sarah's artworks are created in mixed media and she uses very interesting combinations of mediums ranging from ink pen to acrylic, amazing hand stitched and machine stitched thread through to black cord into threaded board.

Paul Gadsby is exhibiting five of his most recent 'Political Bird Paintings' In each painting, Paul depicts an environmental issue that is current, in our faces and needs immediate attention. The series is anticipated to grow as issues that concern Paul, warrant him to put brush to canvas as a way to express his concerns. Just some of the controversial topics raised in Pauls paintings are :- 1080 poison drops, the loss of bird and insect habitat due to monoculture farming practices, the current housing crisis and threat that urban development places on native birds, and longline fishing & plastic waste in the sea. These paintings are painted in a creative style influenced by the famous NZ artist, Don Binney.
